Easy Spinach Dip 1

Easy Spinach Dip

I’ve been making this Easy Spinach Dip for 40 years and everyone loves it. It’s what I call a “chase-around,” meaning at least one person will chase you around demanding the recipe.

Some people eat this with chips, but I prefer it with crisp raw vegetables, such as pepper strips, cucumbers slices, baby carrots or celery sticks. It’s a perfect appetizer, side dish, or snack.  It also goes great with eggs, so put some inside of an omelette, or spread some on a bagel.

What type of spinach should I use?

Frozen chopped spinach works best. However, if you only have frozen leaf spinach, just cut it up with kitchen shears before using. Finely chopped fresh spinach may also be used.

Can I make spinach dip ahead of time?

You absolutely can make spinach dip ahead of time! Mix all of the ingredients together several hours or up to a day before you are planning to serve it, and chill in a container or in a bowl with some plastic wrap as a cover. This will allow for the flavors to blend together.

What chips go with spinach dip?

Any type of chip is delicious! Feel free to serve our Easy Spinach dip with

  • tortilla chips
  • potato chips
  • pita triangles
  • pita chips
  • julienned/chopped vegetables

Can you freeze fresh Spinach Dip?

It is unlikely this will be an issue because this Easy Spinach Dip goes very fast. However, we do not recommend freezing it as the mayonnaise will separate.
